Marie | Star Nation Reiki

Marie blends over 40 years of Japanese Zen Buddhist practices with her deep understanding of Reiki, offering a unique approach to healing and growth. On her Reiki table and meditation cushion, Marie champions an integrative method that draws on the rich foundations of Shugendo, Shinto, and Buddhism. Her cultural wisdom and extensive training were cultivated through experiences at the Gardena Buddhist Church and her mother’s influence as a calligraphy teacher. The teachings from her mother enhances Marie’s teachings and transmission of kanji (Chinese characters) or “symbols” to her students.

In her journey to establish STAR NATION REIKI, Marie co-founded the Berkeley based Center for Transformative Change, alongside Reverend Angel Kyodo Williams. This transformative practice community emphasizes zen meditation and supports BIPOC and activists of color in bridging their outer and inner worlds through meditation, yoga, and practices of inner-awareness. Marie’s teachings inspire a deeper connection to self and the universe, making her classes and retreats a profound experience for all participants.
